This day is not only about our country, but also about each of us. It is about the strength that lives in every heart, no matter where we are now – in Ukraine or far away. We are all united by love for our homeland and by the dream of seeing it free, strong, and peaceful.
It I know that for many of you it is not easy – being far from your hometowns and homes. But I want to say: your dedication to your children, to your dreams, and to our shared hockey journey is also a contribution to Ukraine’s future. Through our children we are building a new country – strong, brave, and independent.
May faith and hope always stay with you. And may the dream of returning home come true. We will gather again under the Ukrainian sky – both on the ice and in life.
