Victory at Nowy Targ

Second Tour Triumph for Patriot U13 in Poland

Following our initial success in the Carpathian Junior Hockey League, I once again had the privilege of coaching the spirited U13 ice hockey team, Patriot, from Vinnytsia, Ukraine. For the second tour of the league hosted in Novy Targ, Poland, our young athletes had yet another opportunity to showcase their talent and determination, and they did so with outstanding results.

This second tour was particularly memorable as Patriot won all their matches, demonstrating their growth and the effectiveness. Here’s a breakdown of the matches the Patriot team fiercely competed in:

  • Patriot vs Nowy Targ: 6-0
  • Patriot vs Krakow: 11-0
  • Patriot vs Slovakia Lions: 8-2
  • Patriot vs Janow: 3-2
  • Patriot vs Kyiv: 4-2
  • Patriot vs Janow (final): 6-2

The final match against Janow, a team we had narrowly defeated in the previous tour, was a true testament to the growth of Patriot’s U13 team. The 6-2 victory in the final was not just a result of their physical training but also their mental preparation and resilience, characteristics we have been emphasising throughout our training and camping sessions.

The success of this second tour has done wonders for the confidence of our young players. Observing their joy and collective pride in their accomplishments was profoundly rewarding for me as a coach. Our philosophy of focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship continues to pay dividends, and it’s gratifying to see these young athletes embodying these principles.

Patriot hockey team

I am eagerly looking forward to more tours in the Carpathian Junior Hockey League and beyond, confident that the Patriot team will continue to thrive and inspire others. Keep following our journey as we skate towards more achievements and continue crafting our story in the exciting world of ice hockey.

Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you for all the support – it truly makes a difference. Here’s to many more victories on and off the ice!
